Summary:

“Everything I love in a book: A hot and tender romance and a bad-boy hero to die for!” — Molly O’Keefe, author of Can’t Buy Me Love

Falling asleep in a different bed every night has made it easy for Cain Black to forget his past. It’s been ten years since he packed his guitar and left Crystal Lake, Michigan, to chase his dreams. Now tragedy has forced him home again. And though Cain relishes the freedom of the road, one stolen moment with Maggie O’Rourke makes him wonder if he’s missing out on something bigger than fame.
For Maggie—single mother and newly settled in Crystal Lake—love is a luxury she just can’t afford. Sure, she appreciates the tall, dark and handsome looks of prodigal son Cain Black. But how long can she expect the notorious hellion to stay?

The last thing either of them wants is something complicated. But sometimes love has its own plans.

Deb’s Review:

Summer He Came Home by Juliana Stoneis a wonderfully written story, that shows us we all deserve a second chance in life with the ones we love.

Maggie is a sweet heroine that just grabs at your heart and keeps you in her cheering section. I enjoyed that this character was strong enough to hold out for the right man. However, she did have her own battles with secrets and demons from her past. Will the one demon that has haunted her return?

Cain is hotter than two shots of Hot Damn! He is understated on the outside, but on the inside he is a mess. Returning home proves to be too much for him, and the one thing that has been important to him suddenly takes a back seat. Ms. Stone was it your intention to put Cain in such emotional distress that it became too overwhelming to handle?

Cain and Maggie had my attention from the first chapter. These two grow in interesting ways as they move along trying to find what they both want. I have to admit, I admire Maggie because she is full of fire with a whole lot of heart. Ms. Stone created a heroine that has become one of my favorites.

I know we are drawn more to the hero and heroine, but I need to mention Michael,Maggie’s Son. The boy had my heart from his initial introduction into the story. His character stood strong with the adults. With that said, let me say that the secondary characters added to this amazing plot. They were funny and sexy. I so need Jake, Mac, and Dax’s stories because the all need a woman. In addition, I would like to see what Luke have to offer a gal. I must say the “Bad Boys of Crystal Lake, Michigan” have definitely put a spark in my boots! Add a splash of intrigue and danger, and what you have is one hot on the edge of your seat romantic suspense that will have you shivering.

Juliana Stone is a first time author for me, and I cannot wait to read more of her books. Summer He Came Home is a wonderful book that’s full of Sassy women and unbelievably sexy men that will bring you nothing but pure delight.
