This good girl’s going bad….

Merry Kade has always been the good girl. The best friend. The one who patiently waits for the guy to notice her. Well, no more. Merry has just scored her dream job, and it’s time for her life to change. As the new curator of a museum in Wyoming, she’ll supervise a lot of restoration work. Luckily she’s found the perfect contractor for the job.

Shane Harcourt can’t believe that someone wants to turn a beat-up ghost town into a museum attraction. After all, the last thing he needs is the site of his dream ranch turning into a tourist trap. He’ll work on the project, if only to hasten its failure…until the beautiful, quirky woman in charge starts to change his mind.

For the first time ever, Merry has a gorgeous stud hot on her heels. But can she trust this strong, silent man, even if he is a force of nature in bed? When Shane’s ulterior motives come out, he’ll need to prove to Merry that a love like theirs may be too hot to handle, but it’s impossible to resist.

Deb’s Review :

Too Hot to Handle by Victoria Dahl was a sweet treat that I never expected. This enchanting romance has a lot of heart; fun moments, a bit of history, along with some hot steamy nights.

Shane is a hard core male that had me shaking my head a few times throughout the book. His character has had a hard life growing up; I actually felt a kinship with him. How did he know that one plane Jane would turn his world upside down, now all he has to do is to figure out what to do with her.

Merry, is divinely sweet, intelligent, an amazing heroine, that grabs your attention from the first chapter. Merry has had a lot of ups and downs, making a rash decision almost ruined her. Can she right the wrong? Can she turn back the clock? Ms. Dahl gave us a heroine that is so down to earth, which I and other readers can connect with.

Shane and Merry start off on a shaky footing with me, but the more I read the more they came to life. They both had their own secrets. Merry’s insecurities came into play plus Shane’s added family issues but they had chemistry from the first time they meet.

The supporting characters were a hoot, as well as being quite noisy. *grins* I laughed so hard my sides ached. Raylene at the bar was a hoot! Cole, Grace and the rest of the town’s people helped make Shane and Merry’s life interesting, to say the least. There are a few questions for you Ms. Dahl will we ever know what happened to Alex and Shane’s brother? I have to admit Walker grabbed my interest; will you have any more on this character, a lover interest perhaps?

Victoria Dahl pens a perfect blend of humor…heart…along with toe curling passion. It no wonder the title Too Hot to Handle fits.
