Olivia Ann Greyson sees only one future for herself—to compose and perform the music she has loved since she was a child. But that future changes in an instant when a commuter train taking her to the city crashes and is attacked by, unbelievably, a coven of vampires! As the rabid creatures feed their thirst on the surviving passengers, Olivia is spared from an unthinkable fate because of the intervention of another vampire—Caleb Wolfe, a figure from her past who, for reasons he doesn’t understand himself, would do anything to protect her.

After one familiar touch, Olivia recognizes the man behind the vampire. Soon love, and a powerful supernatural connection, begins to grow between them. But with that connection Olivia starts to notice starling changes happening within herself, and violent events make it clear that the vampire coven which wanted her the night of the train crash won’t stop until they have her.

Time is running out for Olivia and Caleb to discover why all this is happening. And the answers they find may painfully tear their new love apart.

Deb’s Review:
The Charmed by Christine Wenrick is a delicious spell binding story that will leave you breathless. This is book one in the Charmed Trilogy; I was totally blown away at the enchanting cast and the amazing plot line.

Caleb is a new born vampire, who was drawn to a horrendous train crash, only to find a diamond in the ruff, named Olivia. What shocked Caleb more was how he was drawn to her in that instant. I love…Love this hero! I think Caleb’s sexiness, heart, strength, his stunning way to make me laugh, his loyalty to his family is what makes him a stand out hero in my book. Ms. Wenrick has her readers connecting with Caleb and his inner turmoil.

Olivia has just found herself in the middle of a battle, and she is the prize to the one who can convince her to join their cause. Olivia was a challenge for me up until I hit chapter two, after that I felt better about this heroine. I think for me she became stronger toward the end of the book, her role being deeper, my understanding of her character, much better.

I cannot wait to see what Caleb and Olivia have to offer us in book #2. They endure so much in this first book it is going to be interesting to see how they cope.
Secondary characters truly helped add a zest to both the hero and heroine as well as to the plot line. You have the Daywalkers, The Brethren, and a wacked out vampire that thinks he is the king of all. You cannot get any better than that. There was a connection between Alec and Gemma that had me a bit curious since Jax is half in love with her. I hope I get more of these three, in the next book. I will say at the end of this book, I have some suspicions on a few things, but I can’t say any more than that…{hint spoiler.}

I cannot wait to read book #2!

“It was the blood!
The blood was somehow doing this to me!”
Olivia Ann Greyson is a Charmer, a Dhampir with the power to lure the supernatural world’s most dangerous creatures—and she’s in an impossible situation. She must leave behind Caleb Wolfe, the strong, protective vampire she has fallen madly in love with, in order to learn how to protect herself from the vampires, shifters and demons that will be drawn to her for the rest of her life.

Human Guardian, Alec Lambert, has been assigned to see to Olivia’s training by the organization he belongs to, which is known simply as The Brethren. He takes Olivia to the group’s stronghold in the mountainous regions of Alberta, Canada, where she discovers the answers to her family’s painful past and the extent to which those hunting her will go to capture her. But she also uncovers many secrets and even more questions about this mysterious group she has trusted to protect her—secrets that will have her fighting to get back to the man she left behind.

But will it be too late?

Deb’s Review:

Caleb is returning with a broken heart, his love was not enough to hold Olivia where he needs her the most, beside him. Now that things have begun will she be returning to him? Can he convince her that she is his true and only love? If it is possible I enjoyed Caleb more in this book than book one. Caleb character was fun in book one, he is furiously loyal, and moving in this book, he touched me.
Olivia has her own issues, discovering the truth of her past, her new abilities, and she still has that pesky crazed Vampire chasing her. Olivia has evolved into her character nicely from my stand point. I enjoyed she was able to hold her ground against Caleb and the others.
I think Ms. Wenrick did an amazing job, showing us Caleb and Olivia’s growth in the roles they play.

The supporting characters just added more richness to this awesomely written trilogy. I enjoyed revisiting the characters from the first book. There are few shocker moments as well as a cliff hanger of sorts. It diffidently had me gasping, “Oh Crap!”Ms. Wenrick I just knew you were going to bring this character into the plot at some point. All I can say is let the blood fall where it may.*grins*

The plot line is a true work of art; there is never a low point where you have to struggle to keep up. The chapters flow smoothly. Ms. Wenrick’s descriptions of the scenes are well plotted out as well as visual

My. Oh. My, I can hardly contain myself… I just finished The Charmed Soul by Christine Wenrick it is a continuation of a brilliantly well written trilogy. I have to admit that I just can’t get enough of these characters.

Bring on book #3!

“You think you know him better than I do? Interesting . . . and so boringly human.”
Over a year has passed since Olivia Ann Greyson discovered that she is a Charmer, a Dhampir fated to be part of the violent supernatural world that surrounds our human one. In that time, she has strengthened herself physically, learned of her family’s secret past, and found a deep and abiding love with the strongest man she has ever met, Daywalker Caleb Wolfe. But Olivia’s biggest challenge still lies ahead of her . . .
Dark vampire lord Luther Davin has been obsessed with capturing Olivia so he can use her special gifts for his own reasons. As Caleb and Olivia try to make a new life together with their coven, the Nightwalker’s attempts to capture her only intensify and inadvertently bring an unwelcome visitor from Caleb’s past barging back into his life.
She is Caelestis—Celeste to the modern world—and she claims to be Caleb’s first and rightful mate. Although Olivia has grown confident and secure in her relationship with Caleb, she soon realizes that Celeste sees herself as no less than a Goddess among mere mortals and will stop at nothing to get Caleb back—which means Olivia herself must die!
When these two threats collide and fate steps in to pull Olivia away from her new family, will she be ready for her darkest hour and her greatest battle?

Deb’s Review:

Charmed Fate by Christine Wenrick, is the third book in the charmed series, one that will shock you, please you as well as show you the true heart of all their stories.

Caleb this time around just frustrated me so much, I just wanted to scream, “Get a Clue Man!” LOL I mean really, after going through the hell he did. To discover his mate missing, he reaches out to the one he hates. Will he be strong enough to dodge his ex’s advances? Can he locate Olivia in time?

Olivia just drove me nuts with all her insecurities, but I enjoyed her non the less. She is diffidently a power house heroine who draws in your attention. I enjoyed seeing her go balls to the wall in a few scenes; it showed me there is much more to her character. Can Olivia build a foundationthat she can live with once her powers are fully charged? Will what she has in her heart be enough to save them all?

There were so many supporting characters, which were huge hits for me. They helped build a strong story structure, and added to the true heart of the plotline and to Caleb and Olivia roles, even the psychotic vampire, an obsessed ex, and a crazed person who wanted to control it all, aided in the brilliance Christine Wenrick created. Now comes the part where I need to ask if there will be more, or a spin-off to this trilogy because really those Brethren men really do need a good woman. LOL!
Poor sweet Maya needs an HEA ending. (Tissue moment)

The only complaint I have Ms.Wenrick is not being able to witness Olivia’s secret to Caleb that was just mean. *grins*

In closing Brava! To Christine Wenrick for giving me as well as you (I Hope) the delightful chance to discover a new author with the amazing talents to write such a stellar trilogy that I will be revisiting again and again.
