Summary:

This good girl’s going bad….

Merry Kade has always been the good girl. The best friend. The one who patiently waits for the guy to notice her. Well, no more. Merry has just scored her dream job, and it’s time for her life to change. As the new curator of a museum in Wyoming, she’ll supervise a lot of restoration work. Luckily she’s found the perfect contractor for the job.

Shane Harcourt can’t believe that someone wants to turn a beat-up ghost town into a museum attraction. After all, the last thing he needs is the site of his dream ranch turning into a tourist trap. He’ll work on the project, if only to hasten its failure…until the beautiful, quirky woman in charge starts to change his mind.

For the first time ever, Merry has a gorgeous stud hot on her heels. But can she trust this strong, silent man, even if he is a force of nature in bed? When Shane’s ulterior motives come out, he’ll need to prove to Merry that a love like theirs may be too hot to handle, but it’s impossible to resist.

Deb’s Review :

Too Hot to Handle by Victoria Dahl was a sweet treat that I never expected. This enchanting romance has a lot of heart; fun moments, a bit of history, along with some hot steamy nights.

Shane is a hard core male that had me shaking my head a few times throughout the book. His character has had a hard life growing up; I actually felt a kinship with him. How did he know that one plane Jane would turn his world upside down, now all he has to do is to figure out what to do with her.

Merry, is divinely sweet, intelligent, an amazing heroine, that grabs your attention from the first chapter. Merry has had a lot of ups and downs, making a rash decision almost ruined her. Can she right the wrong? Can she turn back the clock? Ms. Dahl gave us a heroine that is so down to earth, which I and other readers can connect with.

Shane and Merry start off on a shaky footing with me, but the more I read the more they came to life. They both had their own secrets. Merry’s insecurities came into play plus Shane’s added family issues but they had chemistry from the first time they meet.

The supporting characters were a hoot, as well as being quite noisy. *grins* I laughed so hard my sides ached. Raylene at the bar was a hoot! Cole, Grace and the rest of the town’s people helped make Shane and Merry’s life interesting, to say the least. There are a few questions for you Ms. Dahl will we ever know what happened to Alex and Shane’s brother? I have to admit Walker grabbed my interest; will you have any more on this character, a lover interest perhaps?

Victoria Dahl pens a perfect blend of humor…heart…along with toe curling passion. It no wonder the title Too Hot to Handle fits.

My Review Of : Only His by Dakota Trace

Only His by Dakota Trace
Publisher: Written Expressions
Genre: Erotic, light bondage
Lengeth: 33 pages

Summary: Lisa Mari has a problem, a huge one. She’s been dumped once again and only a week before Valentine’s Day.

One would think she’d be angry at Neil, her ex but she’s not. Crying out another man’s name during sex would be enough to piss off the most of understanding men so she can’t really blame him.
Her problem was in the fact that the only man she wants is the one she knows she can’t have.

After being adopted by her foster parents, Larry and Irene, she’d been accepted into their family and had become fast friends with Alexander, their nephew.

When he’d left to go to college out of state, Lisa had been forced to accept her unorthodox desire for him and was secretly glad he was out of reach. Instead she goes online and lives out her fantasies of him with strangers. Then it happened – he came home last Thanksgiving and everything had changed.

Alexander had loved Lisa Mari for over two years but with her good girl facade she’d presented to everyone, he didn’t think she would be able to handle his physical desires. While the total gentleman in public, in the bedroom, he was dominating at all times. Tying up his lovers and driving them insane with desire was his favorite pastime. On his last visit home, he’d stumbled across Lisa’s secret.

Posing as ‘Valentina’ online, she was trying to live out her fantasies – the very ones, he’d wanted to fulfill. With her finals over and his nearing, he’s decided the time was right. He’s more than prepared to start his seduction online, and if that doesn’t work, he’ll bribe Sammie, Lisa’s best friend into getting Lisa on a plane. One way or the other Lisa was going to be his.

Deb’s Review: Only His is an erotic treat that had this reviewer saying, “Whew!” The power Ms. Trace creates between these two characters is a powerhouse of heat. Alex and Lisa are truly yummy; they complement each other well. Their story is anything but tame and when the time is right their passion ignites.

While I enjoyed the characters, I didn’t feel as though I got to know them as much as I would have liked. I understand that this is a short book and I truly enjoyed it but would love to hear more on these two.

The BDSM play added a nice touch of spice to this book. If a short sensually erotic read with a great story line is what you are looking for then Only His is just for you.

Ms. Trace is Carson going to have his own story? I would love to see Alex and Lisa give back some to him when he finds his soul mate.

Dakota Trace is a true delight to read for this reviewer. Her talents are many to enjoy, come on and give her a try.

My Review Of : Freeing Al by Marie Treanor

Freeing Al by Marie Treanor
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave Publishing
Genre: Erotic Paranormal Romance, Vampires
Length: Short Novel

Review Copy Received from Publisher

Summary:

Book three in the Psychic Seductions series.

Big Al MacNab is in trouble. Recently out of prison, he’s running his late uncle’s pub in the Scottish Highlands and trying to make a success of a local music festival. But he’s haunted by his own past—as well as by two persistent ghosts. Every criminal in the country wants to kill him, the police want to put him back in prison and his mother wants him to stop swearing. He doesn’t need a sexy vampiress serving drinks in his pub, let alone showing him kinky new uses for the restraints in his cellar.

Draguta, a vampire in search of a cause, has come to Scotland to find her ex-lover, Karoly, who owns the Transylvanian castle she wants to turn into a vampire safe house. Biting Al releases a lot of pent-up lust that has to be assuaged. Falling in love with Al revives a compassion and humanity she no longer knows how to deal with. Worse, she knows that after helping to free Al from his problems, she has to free him from herself.

Deb’s Review :

Freeing Al by Marie Treanor is an awesome way to end this series. This book is fast, fun with a touch of action and with passions hot enough to burn up the pages. We the readers can feel the inner battle between Draguta and Al.

Draguta, Vampire was turned by Karoly who in turn saved her life. After 50 years she still has problems with who she has become. Darguta came home to convince Karoly to give her his castle to use as a haven for vampires. Draguta meets up with Al. After meeting Al, can she finally let herself hope again? What will Al do when he finds out what she truly is?

Al, owner of a pub in the little town of Ardhaig, has his own troubles. He fell in with the wrong crowd, along with his brother. Dealing with his brother’s death, prison and the cops can he ever get his life to return to normal?

The plot thickens when the characters from the first two books come to help Al and Draguta with some bad acquaintances. Jenny and Ellise powers are drawn to the ghosts who are in Al’s place. They are all in for a surprise, when they find out the secrets to Al’s past.

This book flowed smoothly, as you never lost pace with the characters. Al and Draguta explode off the pages, especially considering that they do love their kink. *grin* Toward the end, this book intensifies with action galore.

There is only one thing as a reader I would have liked to known from all the books in this series. How all the characters fared afterwards?? What do I mean? Does Karoly change Jenny? Do Chris and Ellise stay in Scottland? Does Draguta complete the change on Al? These questions are truly running through my head. Ms. Treanor is there going to be anymore to this series?

Freeing Al by Marie Treanor is a truly touching, passionate and OH! so kinky read that you must buy. If you don’t believe, pick up this 3rd book in the seduction series to see what I am talking about.

{Note to the Readers}
To truly enjoy this series you should read them in order:
Book #1 – Hunting Karoly / Jenny’s story
Book #2 – Guitar Man / Ellise’s story
